The Australian Coffee Centre is a multi-award winning attraction is located 10kms from Mareeba on the Atherton Tableland, approximately 1 hour's drive from Cairns, Cairns International Airport and Port Douglas.

Drive yourself or take a day tour but make sure you don't miss this one of a kind attraction! Take a Plantation Tour to see the coffee production process from planting to tasting, enjoy coffees, teas and lunches and the astounding views from our beautiful timber visitor centre, and buy your coffee and coffee accessories at our gift shop.

The Australian Coffee Centre is open daily from 10:00am to 4:00pm. Closed on Good Friday (Easter) and over Christmas from Dec 24 to Jan 1 inclusive.

Perched on the Great Dividing Range around 550 meters above sea level, the Centre is located at the edge of the 300 acre Skybury coffee and tropical fruit plantation and is a place where visitors can tour, taste and take home some of the world's purest Arabica coffee.

The two storey timber centre, constructed atop an impressive granite outcrop, features a 140 seat restaurant, licensed bar, coffee laboratory, gift shop, and Coffee Cinema. The superb timbers and woodwork features inside the centre are a testament to the skills of local craftspeople and artisans.

The Centre is the work of award winning Eacham builder Jon Nott. The oval table in the coffee laboratory which is used in the coffee roasting and tasting tours, is made from a single piece of Tallow over four meters in length!!

The heart of the Centre is our laboratory where we taste our coffees during harvest. We aim to produce the highest quality, with a distinctly Australian taste profile.

Outside, visitors can stroll through coffee trees, take a tour of the coffee plantation, and enjoy the dry temperate climate in acres of native gardens. Birdlife is prolific in the gardens and bush surrounding The Australian Coffee Centre, and the plantation is home to hundreds of kangaroos and other marsupials that inhabit the high country at the head waters of the Mitchell River.

The Gift Shop, adjacent to the cafe at The Australian Coffee Centre, sells coffee beans, freshly ground coffee, coffee products including Skyburys Coffee Liqueur, chocolate coated coffee beans and coffee makers of all kinds.
